The four articles below are from the Associated Press, and were on my Yahoo home page over the past week. You can go to Yahoo and look them up for your self. I have put them here with some comments and hi lighted a few statements that I thought were interesting. Our nation is filled with fools because we have rejected God.

Ps 14:1 & 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Isa 5:18-25 ¶ Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:
19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!
20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.)

Mass. police 'deeply pained' by Obama's criticism

By DENISE LAVOIE, Associated Press Writer – Thu Jul 23, 6:16 pm ET

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Cambridge police commissioner says his department is "deeply pained" by President Barack Obama's statement that his officers "acted stupidly" when they arrested a renowned black scholar in his home. (You will find out at the end of these articles - if you don't know already - that it is illegal to arrest a Black man because of his race and popularity, not because of what he did.)

In his first statement since the arrest, Commissioner Robert Haas on Thursday commended the arresting officer, Sgt. James Crowley. Haas said Crowley's actions were in no way motivated by racism.

Crowley, who is white, has been criticized for arresting Henry Louis Gates Jr. last week. Police say Gates flew into a verbal rage when officers asked him for identification while investigating a report of a break-in.

On Wednesday, Obama said officers "acted stupidly" in arresting Gates. On Thursday, he softened his stance and said cooler heads should have prevailed. (Our President shows respect of persons, instead of up holding the law. "Cooler heads should have prevailed" if Mr. Gates had kept a cool head he wouldn't have gotten arrested.)

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — The white police sergeant criticized by President Barack Obama for arresting black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. in his Massachusetts home is a police academy expert on understanding racial profiling. (How about that!)

Cambridge Sgt. James Crowley has taught a class about racial profiling for five years at the Lowell Police Academy after being hand-picked for the job by former police Commissioner Ronny Watson, who is black, said Academy Director Thomas Fleming. (So who is the racist? It was the guy at screamed about race before he was arrested)

"I have nothing but the highest respect for him as a police officer. He is very professional and he is a good role model for the young recruits in the police academy," Fleming told The Associated Press on Thursday. (How about that. What a commentary coming from a black man about a white man, if we are dealing with race.)

The course, called "Racial Profiling," teaches about different cultures that officers could encounter in their community "and how you don't want to single people out because of their ethnic background or the culture they come from," Fleming said. The academy trains cadets for cities across the region.

Obama has said the Cambridge officers "acted stupidly" in arresting Gates last week when they responded to his house after a woman reported a suspected break-in.

Crowley, 42, has maintained he did nothing wrong and has refused to apologize, as Gates has demanded.

Crowley responded to Gates' home near Harvard University last week to investigate a report of a burglary and demanded Gates show him identification. Police say Gates at first refused, flew into a rage and accused the officer of racism.

Gates was charged with disorderly conduct. The charge was dropped Tuesday. (Why? Because he has friends in high places, not because he wasn't found innocent.)

Gates' supporters maintain his arrest was a case of racial profiling. Officers were called to the home by a woman who said she saw "two black males with backpacks" trying to break in the front door. Gates has said he arrived home from an overseas trip and the door was jammed. (May the reader be reminded that he was arrested for disorderly conduct to the officers, not for breaking in to a house.)

Obama was asked about the arrest of Gates, who is his friend, at the end of a nationally televised news conference on health care Wednesday night.

"I think it's fair to say, No. 1, any of us would be pretty angry," Obama said. "No. 2, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And No. 3 — what I think we know separate and apart from this incident — is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that's just a fact." (#1 Yes, I would be a little upset if a cop came to my own home and asked for ID, but you bet that I would act with respect and show the officer my ID, because I did noting wrong and it would prove to him that I LIVED THERE. #2 I'm glad the officer is doing his job when there is no proof offered to him. #3 "disproportionately" doesn't mean unjustly.)

In radio interviews Thursday morning, Crowley maintained he followed procedure.

"I support the president of the United States 110 percent. I think he was way off base wading into a local issue without knowing all the facts as he himself stated before he made that comment," Crowley told WBZ-AM. "I guess a friend of mine would support my position, too." ( And that is what this whole thing is about, Respect Of Persons, not about race nor up holding the law.)

Crowley did not immediately respond to messages left Thursday by the AP. The Cambridge police department scheduled a news conference for later Thursday.

Gates has said he was "outraged" by the arrest. He said the white officer walked into his home without his permission and only arrested him as the professor followed him to the porch, repeatedly demanding the sergeant's name and badge number because he was unhappy over his treatment. (What was the treatment? So far the AP has said nothing about the way the officer "treated" Mr. Gates. Mr. Gates was "outraged" before the arrest, that is why there was an arrest.)

"This isn't about me; this is about the vulnerability of black men in America," Gates said.
He said the incident made him realize how vulnerable poor people and minorities are "to capricious forces like a rogue policeman, and this man clearly was a rogue policeman." (So now a man doing his job is called a "rogue"? Poor people? Where did the poor come into play in this? Are you saying that you are poor Mr. Gates? A Harvard scholar is a poor man?)

The president said federal officials need to continue working with local law enforcement "to improve policing techniques so that we're eliminating potential bias." (So basically what you are saying is that you want to make it illegal to arrest anyone but a white male, because we know that anyone of any other race is innocent because of their environment and economic status, not of their character.)

Fellow officers, black and white, say Crowley is well-liked and respected on the force. Crowley was a campus police officer at Brandeis University in July 1993 when he administered CPR trying to save the life of former Boston Celtics player Reggie Lewis. Lewis, who was black, collapsed and died during an off-season workout. (How about that? That doesn't sound racists to me.)

Gov. Deval Patrick, who is black, said he was troubled and upset over the incident. Cambridge Mayor Denise Simmons, who also is black, has said she spoke with Gates and apologized on behalf of the city, and a statement from the city called the July 16 incident "regrettable and unfortunate." (Yes, Governor, you should be upset over a man that has no character and is a racist trying to use his skin color to justify his actions. Why are you apologizing for a man that did his job? Why is the man that was arrested not apologizing for his behaviour? No, Mr. Gates' actions were "regrettable and unfortunate".)

The mayor refused Thursday to comment on the president's remarks.

On Thursday, the White House tried to calm a hubbub over Obama's comments by saying Obama was not calling the officer stupid. (But he did.) Spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama felt that "at a certain point the situation got far out of hand" at Gates' home last week. (Yeah, Mr. Gates did get out of hand. That's why he got arrested.)

Police supporters charge that Gates, director of Harvard's W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research, was responsible for his own arrest by overreacting. (Amen and Amen.)

Black students and professors at Harvard have complained for years about racial profiling by Cambridge and campus police. (Why is it only the Blacks that have complained? What about the Asians and Mexicans and whoever else?) Harvard commissioned an independent committee last year to examine the university's race relations after campus police confronted a young black man who was using tools to remove a bike lock. The man worked at Harvard and owned the bike. (Yeah, but it sure didn't look like it at the time. I hope an officer would do the same to me if he saw me messing with a bike lock with out a key.)
___
Associated Press writer Melissa Trujillo in Boston contributed to this report.

Below is the follow up story that came out a day later.

Obama rushes to quell racial uproar he helped fire (After reading the article you will find that Obama "rushes" to do nothing.)

By NANCY BENAC, Associated Press Writer – 16 mins ago
WASHINGTON – Knocked off stride by a racial uproar he helped stoke, President Barack Obama hastened Friday to tamp down the controversy. Obama, who had said Cambridge, Mass., police "acted stupidly" in arresting black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr., declared the white arresting officer was a good man and invited him and the professor to the White House for a beer. (You just slandered a man nationally on TV and all you offer him for an apology is a beer?)

Obama conceded his words had been ill-chosen, but he stopped short of a public apology. He personally telephoned both Gates and Sgt. James Crowley, hoping to end the rancorous back-and-forth over what had transpired and what Obama had said about it. Trying to lighten the situation, he even commiserated with Crowley about reporters on his lawn.

Hours earlier, a multiracial group of police officers had stood with Crowley in Massachusetts and said the president should apologize.

It was a measure of the nation's keen sensitivities on matters of race that the fallout from a disorderly conduct charge in Massachusetts (No, just "stupid" people over reacting) — and the remarks of America's first black president about it (Obama is as much a black man as he is a white man. His mom is white and his dad is black. You can call him a white president and you would be as right as calling him a black president.)— had mushroomed to such an extent that he felt compelled to make a surprise appearance in the White House briefing room to try to put the matter to rest. The blowup had dominated national attention just as Obama was trying to marshal public pressure to get Congress to push through health care overhaul legislation — and as polls showed growing doubts about his performance.

"This has been ratcheting up, and I obviously helped to contribute ratcheting it up," Obama said of the racial controversy. "I want to make clear that in my choice of words, I think I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department and Sgt. Crowley specifically. And I could've calibrated those words differently." (You openly slandered him Mr. President!)

The president did not back down from his contention that police had overreacted by arresting the Harvard professor for disorderly conduct after coming to his home to investigate a possible break-in. He added, though, that he thought Gates, too, had overreacted to the police who questioned him. The charge has been dropped. (So you have a group of racists that are overreacting about race.)

Obama stirred up a hornet's nest when he said at a prime-time news conference this week that Cambridge police had "acted stupidly" by arresting Gates, a friend of the president's. Still, Obama said Friday he didn't regret stepping into the controversy and hoped the matter would end up being a "teachable moment" for the nation. (In other words teach that a black man with a bad attitude can get away with what ever he wants because he is black.)

"The fact that this has garnered so much attention, I think, is testimony to the fact that these are issues that are still very sensitive here in America," Obama said. (It is a testimony that this nation if full of "stupidity.")

Obama wryly took note of the distraction from his legislative efforts.

"I don't know if you've noticed, but nobody's been paying much attention to health care," the president said. (Because the majority of America doesn't really give a rip about our nations next scam.)

Obama, who has come under intense criticism from police organizations, said he had called Crowley to clear the air, and said the conversation confirmed his belief that the sergeant is an "outstanding police officer and a good man." (Based on what, the arrest that he made that you called "stupid"?)

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs refused to say whether Obama had apologized to Crowley.

Asked repeatedly about that, Gibbs said: "If the president doesn't want to characterize it in a conversation that he hates having with you all, I'm not going to get ahead of him." (Sounds like a real man.)

The story had taken on a life of its own, and the White House scrambled to keep up. ("The story had taken on a life of its own"? What do you mean, are you reporting the truth of what happened or not? Or are you trying to stir up an issue about race on purpose?)

Gibbs said just Friday morning that the president had probably said most of what he was going to say, and that the only problem was media "obsession."

Hours later, Obama showed up to try to put the issue to rest.

There were signs both that Obama's statement had helped to ease tensions and that his critics were not about to let that be the end of it: A trio of Massachusetts police organizations issued a statement thanking the president for his "willingness to reconsider his remarks." And a Republican congressman from Michigan, Thaddeus McCotter, said he would introduce a House resolution calling on Obama to apologize to Crowley. (That would be the honourable thing for the President to do.)

Obama tried to lighten his tone in his public remarks about his phone conversation with Crowley.
He said the police officer "wanted to find out if there was a way of getting the press off his lawn."
"I informed him that I can't get the press off my lawn," Obama joked.

In his conversation with Gates, aides said, Obama and the professor had spoken about the president's statement to the press and his conversation with Crowley.

The case began on Monday, when word broke that Gates, 58, had been arrested five days earlier at the two-story home he rents from Harvard.

Supporters including Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson called the arrest an outrageous act of racial profiling. Public interest increased when a photograph surfaced of the handcuffed Gates being escorted off his porch amid three officers, two white and one black. (Well how about that, what does the black officer have to say about the black man he helped arrest. How come he wasn't shouting racial profiling?)

Cambridge police moved to drop the disorderly conduct charge on Tuesday — without apology, but calling the case "regrettable." (Why? So far the only thing that is "regrettable" is Mr. Gates actions and the news media hype over race.)

That didn't end the national debate: Some said Gates was responsible for his own arrest because of his response to Crowley, while others said Gates was justified to yell at the officer. (No doubt that the racists are the ones who would think that it is justifiable to yell at an officer. Racists have no respect for authority only their race.)

Obama's criticism of the police only added fuel to the racial debate.

Meanwhile, the police union and fellow officers, black and white, rallied around Crowley, a decorated officer who in 1993 tried to give lifesaving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to Reggie Lewis, a black Boston Celtics player who collapsed at practice. Lewis could not be revived. (Why would a black man stand with Officer Crowley if Officer Crowley was a racists?)

Crowley, 42, had been selected to be a police academy instructor on how to avoid racial profiling.
A multiracial group of officers and union officials stood with Crowley on Friday at a news conference to show support and to ask Obama and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who is black, to apologize for their comments. Patrick had called Gates' arrest "every black man's nightmare." (If they are doing wrong, then I guess so.)

Obama's take on the situation: "My sense is you've got two good people in a circumstance in which neither of them were able to resolve the incident in a way that it should have been resolved." (Then you don't have much sense Mr. President. One man acted lawfully, and one did not.)

Democratic activists around the country were hopeful the president's latest remarks would quell the uproar.

"Let's concentrate on the business at hand — fixing the economy and health care for everybody," said Florida state Rep. Luis Garcia, a vice chair of the state Democratic Party. (Oh, yeah, that will solve all our nation's so called race problems.)

In Michigan, 19-year-old Mitchell Rivard, the president of the Michigan State University College Democrats, expressed hope the controversy would indeed be a learning experience for the country.

"I think it's going to make people talk about race relations around the United States and in their hometowns," Rivard said. "This will be something that people are going to talk about across the nation in terms of how we can have better race relations."
___
Associated Press writers Bob Salsberg in Cambridge, Mass., Charles Babington, Ben Feller and Mary Clare Jalonick in Washington, Brendan Farrington in Tallahassee, Fla., and Tim Martin in Lansing, Mich., contributed to this report.

Cambridge police: Race not mentioned in 911 call (How about that?)

By BOB SALSBERG, Associated Press Writer – 58 mins ago

BOSTON – The 911 caller who reported a possible break-in at the home of black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. did not mention race in the call, according to a statement issued by her attorney and backed up by Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas. (So the cop wasn't responding because the culprit was black. He was just doing his job.)

Lucia Whalen placed the 911 call July 16, saying she saw two men on Gates' front porch who appeared to be trying to force open the front door. The call led to the arrest of Gates by Cambridge police on a disorderly conduct charge, and a resulting national debate about racial profiling.

In the statement issued Sunday by attorney Wendy Murphy, Whalen — who has not spoken publicly — said she only saw the backs of the two men and did not know their race when she made the call. Murphy said Whalen, who works nearby, called because she had been aware of recent break-ins in the area and wanted to correct "misinformation" suggesting that she placed the call because the men on the porch were black. (Yes this country and its leaders are purpously "misinformed".)

"Contrary to published reports that a 'white woman' called 911 and reported seeing 'two black men' trying to gain entry into Mr. Gates home, the woman, who has olive colored skin and is of Portuguese descent, told the 911 operator that she observed 'two men' at the home," Murphy's statement read.

Murphy said Whalen has been very upset by news reports she believes have unfairly depicted her as a racist.

"She doesn't live in the area. She is by no means the entitled white neighbor ... That has been the theme in the blogs and the implication in some of the mainstream news media," Murphy said in a phone interview Monday.

"She didn't know their race, and it's very clear that she called not because of what they looked like but because of what they were doing."

Haas said Whalen, after questioning by the dispatcher during the 911 call, speculated that one of the men — who turned out to be Gates and a black car service driver — may have been Hispanic.

"It was very clear that she wasn't sure what the men's race was," Haas said in an interview with The Boston Globe Sunday night.

The 911 tapes have not yet been made public, but Haas has said he expected some version of the tapes to be released within the next few days.

The commissioner acknowledged that in the police report the caller is said to have observed "what appeared to be two black males" on the porch, but he said the report was a summary and not necessarily based on the initial call.

Supporters of Gates called his arrest by Sgt. James Crowley an outrageous act of racial profiling.
The disorderly conduct charge was dropped, but interest in the case intensified when President Barack Obama said at a White House news conference that Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in arresting Gates.

Obama later sought to tamp down the uproar. He spoke to Crowley and Gates during separate telephone calls Friday and declared that Crowley was a good man.

The president invited the officer and the professor to the White House for a beer. He conceded his words had been ill-chosen, but he stopped short of a public apology.

Gates said he hoped his arrest would lead to a greater understanding about racial profiling in America. (There was no racial profiling Mr. Gates, you are the racist here not the officers.)

Another aritcle that showed up today

Gates says it's time to 'move on' from his arrest (Yes please do.)

By RUSSELL CONTRERAS, Associated Press Writer – Sun Jul 26, 11:16 am ET

BOSTON – Black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. says he's ready to move on from his arrest by a white police officer, hoping to use the encounter to improve fairness in the criminal justice system and saying "in the end, this is not about me at all." (If it was a Hispanic or Asian officer would Gates have said anything about race? There was a Black officer there that escorted Mr. Gates out of his house. What does Mr. Gates have to say about that?)

After a phone call from President Barack Obama urging calm in the aftermath of his arrest last week, Gates said he would accept Obama's invitation to the White House for a beer with him and Cambridge police Sgt. James Crowley.

In a statement posted Friday on The Root, a Web site Gates oversees, the scholar said he told Obama he'd be happy to meet with Crowley, whom Gates had accused of racial profiling.

"I told the president that my principal regret was that all of the attention paid to his deeply supportive remarks during his press conference had distracted attention from his health care initiative," Gates said. "I am pleased that he, too, is eager to use my experience as a teaching moment, and if meeting Sergeant Crowley for a beer with the president will further that end, then I would be happy to oblige." (Your "principal regret"? You aren't sorry one bit for your actions or the actions that you claim were against you, but your sorry about the health care initiative?)

It was a marked change in tone for Gates, who in the days following his arrest gathered up his legal team and said he was contemplating a lawsuit. He even vowed to make a documentary on his arrest to tie into a larger project about racial profiling. (You are the racist Mr Gates.)

In an e-mail to the Boston Globe late Friday, he said: "It is time for all of us to move on, and to assess what we can learn from this experience." (Yes, you are a racist. Now let go of your racism and hatred and move on.)

In a statement to The Associated Press, Gates promised to do all he could so others could learn from his arrest. (Yeah, don't yell at a Police Officer or you will be justly arrested for disorderly conduct.)

"This could and should be a profound teaching moment in the history of race relations in America," Gates said. "I sincerely hope that the Cambridge police department will choose to work with me toward that goal."

Gates, 58, did not say in his statement if he planned to file a lawsuit.

Crowley did not return a telephone message seeking comment Saturday.

The outcry began Monday, when word broke that Gates had been arrested five days earlier at the two-story home he rents from Harvard.

Supporters called the arrest an outrageous act of racial profiling. Public interest increased when a photograph surfaced of the handcuffed Gates being escorted off his porch amid three officers.
Cambridge police moved to drop the disorderly conduct charge on Tuesday — without apology, but calling the case "regrettable."

Obama, who had said Cambridge police "acted stupidly" in arresting Gates, sought to tamp down the uproar Friday. He spoke to Crowley and Gates during separate telephone calls and declared that Crowley was a good man.

Obama invited the officer and the professor to the White House for a beer. He conceded his words had been ill-chosen, but he stopped short of a public apology.

A trio of Massachusetts police unions released a joint statement shortly after Obama's latest comments, saying Crowley had a friendly and meaningful conversation with the president.

"We appreciate his sincere interest and willingness to reconsider his remarks about the Cambridge Police Department," according to the statement. "It is clear to us from this conversation, that the President respects police officers and the often difficult and dangerous situations we face on a daily basis."

Gates added that he hoped his arrest would lead to a greater understanding about racial profiling in America. (There was no racial profiling involved with Mr. Gates but in his own mind.)

"If my experience leads to the lessening of the occurrence of racial profiling, then I would find that enormously gratifying," Gates said on The Root. "Because, in the end, this is not about me at all; it is about the creation of a society in which 'equal justice before law' is a lived reality." In fact, virtually all living creatures emit very weak light, which is thought to be a byproduct of biochemical reactions involving free radicals.

(This visible light differs from the infrared radiation - an invisible form of light - that comes from body heat.)

To learn more about this faint visible light, scientists in Japan employed extraordinarily sensitive cameras capable of detecting single photons. Ryan will be visiting other family members for the next six weeks. This time of year is always very tough on my wife. The other family that Ryan has is not saved and doesn't believe the Bible. So, therefore their ethics and morals are quite different than the training that we are giving Ryan. During this time Kim and I reflect on all the mes ups we have made with training our children. All we can do now for the time being is pray for him that the Lord will have some grace and mercy, deal with Ryan's heart and convict him about the things that will come up while he is away from Church, the Bible, and home.

So, I have had some time off. Some "Free Time" as we call it at the Boys Home. I am very thankful to have it, considering the month before had left very little "Free Time" for anyone. Having SOME free time is a good thing. The last few days I have been able to do a few errands and some things around the house that I probably wouldn't have gotten done otherwise.

The Lord knows what it means to have some "Free Time". Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. I am fairly certain that none of the Apostles were by any means lazy. I have not know commercial fishermen to be of the lazy sort, but the Lord Jesus Christ knew when his men needed some rest. The Bible also says, in Psalm 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. After God recreated the earth he rested on the seventh day (Gen. 2:1-3).

Too much "Free Time" is not good though. That is when you get into trouble. From what I have noticed recently, the boys that come into the Boys Home are in the trouble that they are in because (among other things) they have way too much "Free Time". If a teenager is taking drugs and abusing the use of them, he is doing it on his "Free Time". If an American teenager is getting into any major trouble a lot of the time he will be getting into that trouble during his "Free Time". Taking my own life as an example, I can say that the average American teenager has at least six hours of "Free Time" every Monday through Friday, and double (if not triple) that on the weekends. That is a bunch of "Free Time". If that teenager doesn't have any parents that will put some work ethic into him during those hours, that teenager will end up just like all that rest of the American teenage punks that are roaming our streets today.

The last few times that my pastor, Bro. Buddy has preached, he has mentioned something about "Free Time". At one point he directed a question to the staff at the Boys Home and asked, something to the affect of, "What are you doing during your free time?" Yesterday and today I have caught my self falling into the dangers of "Free Time". Sleeping in later than what I should, and giving my self to things that are of no profit and vanity are dangers in my "Free Time". Don't let your "Free Time" go unchecked or it will turn into "wasted time" and "flesh time".

Welcome Joshua Stephen

Ok, this is a long one so if you don't have time to read everything I perfectly understand. It is quite an amazing thing. I wonder if any atheist has ever witnessed a woman giving birth. I don't see how anyone could witness a woman giving birth and still be an atheist. How can you experience something like that, and come away thinking that you had any power at all over the whole process? At any time if that umbilical cord quit working right the child would die. "Hey mister evolution. It took you how long to come up with the umbilical cord? A billion, or two?" "Ok, so how many babies didn't make it during that time? Where are their fossils? And where are the fossils of all the other mammals that didn't make it while you were trying to figure it out with them?" Do you see how retarded the logic is of the people who subscribe to evolution. I'm glad that the evolutionist will never figure out how life happens. Praise the Lord! They will never figure out how life happens because it doesn't just "HAPPEN". It is GIVEN. Life is given to man by God. Physical life and eternal life are given by God and the Lord Jesus Christ. They will never understand because they kick God out.
Prov 1:7 ¶ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Prov 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
It was a long night. I must say though that I did get a lot more rest than my wife. I spent the rest of the night with my wife there at the hospital. Thankfully when they moved us from the delivery room to the recovery room there were two beds. I am surprised to say that the hospital bed that I slept on was a lot more comfortable than some hotel beds that I have slept on before. I slept through most of the times that the nurses came in and checked on Kim and Joshua. I can only vaguely remember one time being awakened and hearing the nurses voice. The next day though I got a full experience of playing "Mr. Mom." It is an experience that I don't want to have too often. For those of you men who think that you would like to have an at home job, don't switch roles with your wife. I now fully know what it is that my wife has to deal with on a daily basis. I'm not talking about dealing with disobedient children. I'm talking working before the children get up, and working when the children are taking a nap, and working when they have gone to bed for the night. Being a wife and mother is not for a lazy woman.

My mom and Dad came up all the way from Fort Myers. It has been a blessing to have them here for the past week. I think that Joshua will turn out more like his grandfathers. Both of his grandpas are tall. Joshua's hands and feet are huge. It is something that you just have to see. I'll probably edit this post in a couple of days and try to get a good picture of his hands and feet in relation to the rest of his body. Maybe the Lord might call him to be a preacher to the lumber jacks up north like his great, great, great uncle Al Channer as written about in the book Last of the Giants.

Ryan is happy to finally have a little brother. He even spent one night up at the hospital with him. I'm sure he would rather have a brother a bit closer to his age though. I'm sure in a few years if the Lord tarries that Ryan will be teaching Joshua how to slam dunk a basket ball and to roller skate. Before that though I'll have to make sure that Joshua doesn't pester his big brother like I did mine. I distinctly remember my brother asking Dad on several occasions if he would give my brother permission to hit me. I can't imagine why my honourable brother would ever wish to do such a thing to his ever loving little brother . I hope that you read this part Jon. Maybe it will bring conviction upon you and cause you to "repent in dust and ashes." (For those of you who don't know me and my brother very well, that was just some friendly brotherly banter.)

Christina also loves her little brother. It is amazing that she knows the difference between a baby doll and a real baby. Just about every time that she sees Joshua she greets him with the sweetest "Hi." It's funny. Kim and I were both kind of wondering how she would take to the new baby, but so far Christina loves her new brother. She has helped burp him even offered him a cookie, but he wasn't in the mood for it just then.
Another thing that is kind of funny is that when Christina is tired she will cry when Joshua cries and stops when he stops.

Children sure are a blessing. We don't deserve the ones that he has given us. I pray that the Lord will let us raise them and train them for his honour and glory.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v19.nonxt1.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D7604f423863a8670%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331587755%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D2D56D50CE736FF76C03BFDB073F8EA465ADCC328.471F938B083597C6710DD8B63AED3DC947A0ECC1%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D7604f423863a8670%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DxqkgXQMthXTcOVKckZ35XjgJOMI&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

A Queer Situation

Well, where to begin? It has been busy the last two months and I doubt that things will slow down during this summer. Right now my family is expecting of the soon arrival of our new son Joshua Stephen. For whatever reason the Lord is postponing his delivery.

I live in an average southern city. We have quite a mixture of just about every kind of people here. And if this city (which is in the "Bible Belt", has an average of one Baptist church for every three square miles) is any indication to our country as a whole, then our country is in major trouble. And though I know that revival could happen, I don't see America wanting to do any of the things that it would take for God to grant revival to our nation.

Case in point: I was out on visitation (door knocking) with Ryan and two boys from the academy. At one door that we knocked on a man in his mid-twenties, to thirties answered the door. The man admitted to not being saved but didn't want to have anything to do with God because his life was "complicated". We found out later that his "complication" was Sodomy. The man's roommate came to the door and the other fellow said, "He is the one you need to talk to." (Now keep in mind that we knew nothing of either of their provision. Neither of them talked like a flamer. Now a days though, American men are so effeminate you cant tell if the man is straight or what.) So I asked the other man if he was saved, born again, and repented of his sins. He said yes to all of these. He said that he had gotten saved when he was younger and then rededicated his life sometime in 2006 or 2007. He said that he listened to WAY FM all the time. He then asked what we thought of gays. I said that it is a sin. He then said that he wouldn't be part of a church that didn't welcome queers. (What church that believes the Bible would?) He didn't believe that being a sex pervert was a sin. In short I tried to reason with him out of the scriptures that being a queer is a sin, (Gen. 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.) but he would have none of it. He was a lost reprobate on his way to hell, trusting in his good works (What ever good works a queer could have.) compassion, love (Yeah right, he doesn't even know what it is.), and being "beautiful"(whatever). It made me want to puke. We left the man letting him know that according to the King James Bible that he was lost and going to Hell. The man said, "Thanks for the warning."

We left and then proceeded to knock on a few more doors. But the sensitive queer in all his "love" got a poochy lip and went and complained to a neighbor of his. This neighbor then came up to us and said, "Hey we are all going to hell here and we don't appreciate you talking hateful!" I told him that we just told the other guy what the Bible had to say. I offered this neighbor a gospel tract (knowing full well that he would tear it up or something like that) and crumpled it and threw it down. I then picked up the tract and alright sir, but you will have to give an account to God one day. He then said as he was walking away, "Yeah, yeah, I know, God sees me right!?" I replied, "Yep, you got it."

I hated leaving then, but I knew that if we would have stayed and forced our way around that there wouldn't have been much done for the Lord. The queer and his neighbor would have seen to that. Also since Ryan was with me I didn't want to open a situation that might put him in any danger. I just hate the feeling like you are tucking your tail in and running. People need to see Christians that don't back down. Our country is in trouble because the Christians in it have repeatedly backed down on just about every thing.

The thing that up set me most about the whole thing is that that queer's line of thinking was in line with just about every apostate Baptist church that is in the town where I live. They don't think that sin is sin. They think that God is only love and compassionate. They think that Jesus Christ just went around preaching acceptance. Well, what about when Jesus said to Peter, "Get thee behind me Satan." What about when he called the Pharisees, "Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers. How can ye escape the damnation of hell?" Or, when he called them the children of hell in Matt. 23:15.

Our country is in the shape it is in because too many of the saved fathers in it have dropped the ball and need to pick it back up again. Lord help us to get right.

Oh, look! God could put me back in that position in a second if he wanted to.

I sure do feel sorry for all the good independent Baptist missionaries that are out there that are under the burden of "performance" for fear of loosing their support. I know that not all of them are under that burden. It would be a blessing though if Churches and Pastors were more understanding about what a missionary has do deal with.

For those of you who still meander over to this blog, I do intend to put another post up with in a few days. They were acting up and being completely rebellious. Despite correction being given to them, they chose to remain rebellious. This went on for two days before they finally broke. It was the roughest time so far that I have had as a parent. Normally I enjoy coming home to my family and spending time with them. However during this time I had no desire to come home. Because of the child’s rebellious spirit, the spirit in our entire home wasn’t right. It affected both my wife and me.

During this time I thought about my relationship with the Lord and how the Lord Jesus Christ must feel when I am rebellious toward him and his words. Because of my child’s rebellion I didn’t want to come home and fellowship with my own child. What a thing to think how God must feel when you sin against him and have no desire to get it right. What a thing to think that there are probably a bunch of Christians in America today that are rebelling against God and the Lord Jesus Christ has absolutely no desire what so ever to fellowship with them at all.

1John 1:4-10
4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

During that time I texted my wife on the phone and asked if there was any sign of the child’s will breaking. Maybe the Lord checks in with the Holy Ghost (Yes, I know that they are one in the same, but go with me on this.) and asks if there is any sign of breaking, or humbleness in the disobedient Christian. Imagine the disappointment of the Lord when he gets the reply of “None so far.” Imagine his response when the reply is, “He broke. It is safe to come back now.” I remember when my wife called me and said that the incident was over. I was glad to be able to come home and hug my child.

I’m not being like one of the many “God is love, and only love” Christians that are out there, but I do want to fellowship with my saviour the Lord Jesus Christ, and know him better. (Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;) I enjoy my children. I want the Lord to enjoy me. The only way that Jesus Christ will enjoy his children is if they stop rebelling against him.

Prov. 10:1 The proverbs of Solomon. Well, it is that way with my son Ryan. Every thing new is exciting to him, no matter what. From a new bicycle to a Gators hat or the smell of shoe polish to a new sewer pipe, anything that is new is exciting to him. Many times I think, “What is such the big deal.” “You just got brand new underwear. Whoop dee do!” One day I got to thinking about Ryan’s attitude in the light of 2Cor. 5:17. Would to God that every child of God had Ryan’s attitude. How many times has the Lord sent you some blessing or gift where instead of being joyous and thankful for it, you whined and complained about its possible imperfections?

Case in point: The sewer drainage pipe on our trailer tore apart. Of necessity we therefore had to purchase a “brand spanking” new one. Me, in my ever joyous attitude said, “Great, more money down the toilet.” However when I got to the store I was thankful that the Lord had given us the money to buy the pipe. I was also thankful that the pipe I bought fit the connections on the trailer. After I had connected the pipe to the trailer I was thankful that we had a means of getting rid of our pungent debris. Ryan wasn’t there when I put the pipe on, but when he got to the trailer that was the first thing he had to see. His mother and I said, “What’s the big deal its just a sewer pipe.” (My wife wouldn't let me use this picture in her Blog.)<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_HJjdP9-JbUk/Senb7CI7o_I/AAAAAAAAABA/Zh1xeHIYGn8/s200/DSC05904.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5326029841575420914" />
But to Ryan it was a nice brand new shiny blue sewer pipe! How many times has the Lord given you a blessing that is designed to carry out the sin and dirt in your life? And how many times instead of being glad for the blessing, and the means of getting the sin and junk out of your life, all you can think about is the busted old pipe.

If you find yourself complaining abut the possible flaws or imperfections in the things that the Lord Jesus Christ has brought your way, then you need to return to the child like faith that you had when you got saved (Matt. 18:1-6), and behold all things new.

The Setup

2Sam. 10:12 Be of good courage, and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.

Yes, Christians can have fun.
